Crystal Paula Gonzalez Hiking Accident: Everything We Want to Know!
A woman from California who was known as “the dancing hiking queen” uploaded a tragic video of herself just seconds before she died after sliding down an ice slope and falling several hundred feet to her death. Crystal According to reports, Paula Gonzalez-Landas, 56, was out hiking on Mount Baldy’s ice Baldy Bowl on Sunday when she lost control of her feet and tumbled an estimated 500 to 700 feet down the mountain.
According to KTLA’s reporting, after the event, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department received a phone call concerning an emergency signal coming from a GPS gadget. “The hiker was down on a steep and icy hillside,” the police report added.
“The hiker was encircled by a large number of sympathetic hikers who were supporting in every way they could.” Even though the sheriff’s patrol helicopter came to the scene and hoisted the woman, she passed away before she could be sent to a hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Crystal Paula Gonzalez-Landas was dubbed the “dancing hiking queen” during her time in the spotlight. The identity of the victim was not initially disclosed; however, family and friends of Gonzalez-Landas were able to positively identify her after she uploaded a brief video of herself on her Facebook page, as reported by the Daily Mail.
“The game is afoot! “There are a lot of people out today,” she says as she peers about with her headlamp on in the darkness before dawn. “Many people know her as the dancing hiking queen or hiker for life. She is an avid outdoorswoman. Her daughter Jasmine Rosado stated about her mother on a GoFundMe website, “She is known in the community for her courageous climbs, and the daily dose of encouragement.”

“Most importantly, she was a wonderful mother to her four children, a sister, and a friend to everyone she came in contact with,” She is the embodiment of beauty, love, and strength all rolled into one. Rosado, a resident of Covina, stated in her obituary that she “was a beacon of light to everyone who knew her and was always ready to lend a helping hand.”
Gonzalez-Landas had published a terrifying video four days prior to the incident, in which she showed the hazardous conditions, including snow falling down on her as she lost her footing. During the winter season, there are several reports of people falling to their deaths at the same peak.
In the statement, it was written that hikers were urged to “please come equipped and hike responsibly.” The department of transportation advised drivers to “wear adequate attire for the colder weather conditions and have the right snow and ice gear with you.”
