American professional basketball player Matthew “Mac” McClung (born January 6, 1999) has a two-way deal with the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and the NBA G League’s Delaware Blue Coats. His college basketball teams were the Georgetown Hoyas and the Texas Tech Red Raiders. In high school, he was one of the best in Virginia, and he was recruited as a three-star recruit.
McClung was not picked in the 2021 NBA draught but did play for the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers that year. He was the 2021-22 NBA G League Rookie of the Year after playing with the South Bay Lakers of the G League.
McClung signed with the 76ers in February of 2023 and immediately joined the Blue Coats for the upcoming 2022–2023 season. At the 2023 NBA All-Star Game, he triumphed in the Slam Dunk Contest.
