With the addition of plugin support, OpenAI’s well-known online chatbot ChatGPT will be able to update and expand its data banks, which are currently only available for news and events through 2021. Developers will be able to link an artificial intelligence (AI) bot to the web, get the most recent data, and even access knowledge stores thanks to plugins.
Web browser functionality, data retrieval, and the ability to connect online will all be part of the initial plugin distribution. This is significant because ChatGPT’s data banks don’t have information on news and other events that occurred after 2021.

The business announced in a blog post that it will start by bringing out support to a select group of users and then progressively expand availability. “Expedia, FiscalNote, Instacart, KAYAK, Klarna, Milo, OpenTable, Shopify, Slack, Talk, Wolfram, and Zapier” have created the first plugins to support the platform.
