Christian Ponder was born in Dallas, Texas, on February 25, 1988, and went on to play college football at Florida State, where he was a quarterback for the Seminoles. Following a successful university career, Ponder was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Before signing with the Oakland Raiders in March 2015, he played for the Minnesota Vikings for a total of four seasons. Ponder inked a contract to play for the Denver Broncos in November of 2015. The year after that, he played for the San Francisco 49ers before calling it a career in 2016 and hanging up his cleats.
