Tammy Wynette Children: All Important Details!
‘George and Tammy,’ a Showtime original, tells the true story of the renowned country singing pair. It all starts with their chance encounter at a time when they are both at quite different stages of their careers. However, their lives intersect, and they not only become life partners but also collaborate on multiple songs that become some of the genre’s most treasured hits.
Tammy and George had various romances throughout their life, and most of them are depicted in the show. This means they had a large number of children and stepchildren. If you’re wondering how many children Tammy Wynette had and where they are today, here’s what you need to know.
Tammy Wynette Had How Many Children?
Tammy Wynette married five times in her life and had multiple stepchildren from the side of each of her husbands. She did, however, have just four children of her own, all of them were females. She adored them, and giving them a better life was one of the reasons she strove so hard to achieve fame in music.

She also wrote a song for them called ‘Dear Daughters,’ in which she expresses her feelings for them. Tammy had three daughters from her first marriage: Gwendolyn Lee, Jackie Daly, and Tina Denise Byrd. Georgette Jones was the result of her marriage to George Jones.
What Happened To Gwendolyn, Jackie, And Tina?
Tammy’s girls have largely avoided the media spotlight, despite their mother’s enjoyment (and occasionally suffering) from it. She had them as a result of her marriage to Euple Byrd. Gwendolyn, the eldest, was born in 1961, followed by Jackie in 1962.
Tina, the youngest, was born in 1965. Tina is well recognized for her work on the album ‘George and Tammy and Tina,’ which she co-wrote with her mother and stepfather. She was only eight years old when she and her parents recorded this album, and several of its tracks reached the top of the music charts. Tina, on the other hand, didn’t maintain contact with music as she grew older and hasn’t been heard from since. Similarly, hardly any information is available regarding Gwendolyn.
Unlike her sisters, Jackie Daly communicates with the rest of the world via social media. She has four kids, Sophia, Kristina, Catherine, and Natalie, and lives in Spring Hill, Tennessee. In 2000, her book ‘Tammy Wynette: A Daughter Recalls Her Mother’s Tragic Life and Death was published, in which Jackie revealed intimate information about her mother’s final years, as well as the relationship she shared with her daughters.
Georgette Jones, Where Are You Now?
Tamala Georgette Jones, the only child of George Jones and Tammy Wynette, was born in 1970. She began her musical career as a backup vocalist for her mother at an early age. She recorded her debut song, ‘Daddy Come Home,’ with her father when she was ten years old.
She is also a songwriter, and in 2010, she recorded a song called ‘You and Me and Time’ with her father. She also published ‘Til I Can Make It on My Own,’ a tribute to her mother that includes some of Tammy Wynette’s best hits. Georgette has also toured overseas and performed at the Opry and the Ryman Auditorium.
She took a break from music and worked as a qualified nurse for over a decade and a half before returning to it. Her debut studio album, ‘Slightly Used Woman,’ was released in 2010, and her fifth, ‘Skin,’ was released in 2019.
Her book ‘The Three of Us: Growing Up with Tammy and George,’ co-written with Patsi Bale-Cox, was published in 2011 and served as the inspiration for the Showtime television series based on her parents. She has also appeared on the TV show ‘Sordid Lives,’ where she played her mother’s ghost. She also contributed to the show’s soundtrack.
Georgette, a mother of twins, is now focused on promoting country music to a wider audience through her Georgette Jones Music and Country Music Gaming businesses. She also makes her own Apple Sin Whiskey. According to the Washington Post, she has been through some difficult periods in her life.
She was married twice, but neither marriage worked out. She is also claimed to have struggled with substance misuse and to have survived cancer. She now leads a calm life with her husband, Jamie Lennon. Georgette was also involved in the production of ‘George and Tammy,’ where Jessica Chastain stated that Georgette ensured that her mother’s tale was portrayed as someone who had survived in the face of adversity rather than as a victim of her circumstances.
