Tanner Hudson keeps his parents’ identities a secret. Born in Paris, Tennessee, Hudson grew up in Big Sandy, Tennessee. At Camden Central High School, he played basketball and football. Hudson was a quarterback, punter, and kicker in football.

Hudson began his collegiate career at Memphis as a punter and quarterback while redshirting his freshman year. He decided to transfer to Southern Arkansas University following his redshirt year. In his first season with the Muleriders, Hudson moved from wide receiver to tight end while serving as the team’s punter.
In each of his last three seasons, Hudson had at least 40 catches and over 600 receiving yards. In his junior year, he recorded career highs with 48 catches, 763 receiving yards, and nine touchdown grabs. He also finished third in the conference in yards per punt (41.9).
Additionally, the Great American Conference’s (GAC) second team named him. Senior wide receiver Hudson (above) was awarded a first-team All-GAC and a second-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association and the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association.
In addition, Hudson caught 43 passes for 624 yards and six touchdowns. He had 25 touchdown catches and 143 receptions for 2,152 yards before he left college. He now plays tight end in American football for the National Football League’s Cincinnati Bengals.
