Tysons Corner Mall Shooting: Cops Hunt Suspect After Multiple Shots Fired at Shopping Center Forcing Customers to Flee

Shoppers ran screaming from a shopping mall in Virginia after shots were fired after an altercation between a group of males there. The crowded Tysons Corner Mall in Fairfax County, Virginia, was placed on lockdown, and customers were told to remain inside the businesses. Officers rushed to the mall in response to the situation.

During the course of the investigation into the shooting, pedestrians are seen crossing the street. After the reports, customers at the mall were becoming excited. According to the statements made by the police, when the altercation began, one of the males “displayed a firearm and discharged a weapon.”

According to the authorities, the possible suspect was a black male dressed in all-black clothing, including a black sweatshirt, black jeans, and white shoes. Officials later stated that there was not a situation with an active shooter, and there were no injuries were recorded.

After sustaining injuries trying to leave the shopping center, three persons were sent to the hospital for treatment.

The shopping center was thoroughly searched to confirm that the fugitives had left the area. The announcement that the mall was closed and that locals should avoid the area was made via the local police department’s Twitter account. According to the police, the shopping center will stay closed for the remainder of the day.
