Shooting Along Mcknight Road Leaves 2 People Injured, Multiple Cars Struck by Bullets
On Thursday afternoon, there was a gunshot along the popular McKnight Road in Ross Township, and it resulted in two individuals being hurt. According to Det. Sgt. Brian Kohlhepp of the Ross Township Police Department, “We do have multiple cars that were shot that were on McKnight Road and that we’re heading both northbound and southbound.”
Det. Sgt. Kohlhepp explained that the incident took place on McKnight Road as people were leaving the city in the direction of northbound traffic. According to the police, many vehicles that were driving down McKnight Road were struck by gunfire. (KDKA is responsible for the image)

He went on to say that the second individual who was hurt was cut by shattered glass from one of the autos. At first, it was thought that there was a gunfight, but later on, Det. Sgt. Kohlhepp stated that detectives concluded there was just one gunman.
Shell casings that have been fired have been found by the police in multiple locations. According to Det. Sgt. Kohlhepp, they are also attempting to ascertain whether or not a traffic stop that was done by Pittsburgh police may or may not be relevant to the incident.
