Captain America 4 Release Date: Is the Movie Done Filming?

Our beloved star-spangled hero’s most recent journey will soon be available to see on a large screen. Following Anthony Mackie’s continued portrayal of Sam Wilson following the events of the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Captain America: Brave New World, originally titled Captain America: New World Order, will follow.

At the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige unveiled a comprehensive list of projects that are currently in development and planned, including the next Captain America feature. This announcement marked the beginning of the MCU’s Phase Five.

The last time we saw Sam Wilson blossoming into the next Captain America was in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where he received assistance from Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, whom he eventually learned to trust and become friendly with despite their initial animosity.

Sharon Carter, a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and Peggy Carter’s niece, played as Emily VanCamp. Additionally, it debuted Walth Russell as John Walker, the fictitious Captain America who later evolved into a malevolent U.S. Agent.

Daniel Brühl made a cameo as the iconic Captain America antagonist Baron Zemo after leaving Captain America: Civil War. However, not every member of the series’ cast has been confirmed to make a cameo in the movie.

The movie has been the subject of a lot of conjecture. See what is known about Captain America: Brave New World in the sections below.

This, hopefully, is the last scheduling adjustment.

Will Captain America: Brave New World Be Available on Disney+?

Disney+ users won’t be able to stream Captain America: Brave New World at home right away; it will first have an exclusive theatrical release.

Does Captain America: Brave New World Have a Trailer?

There are currently no official Captain America 4 teasers or videos available. We may get a sneak peek at the movie by the end of the year or early in 2024, depending on how far along they are with post-production.

What is the Plot of Captain America: Brave New World?

Marvel style, we haven’t seen too much story information up to this point. However, filmmaker Julias Onah referred to the movie as a “paranoid thriller” when discussing it at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2022.

With Captain America: The Winter Soldier, one of the best-reviewed films in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Three Days of Condor, a 1975 film that starred Robert Redford as the villain, and other 1970s political espionage thrillers, as its inspiration, it appears increasingly likely that Brave New World will follow in the footsteps of that film.

Examining dysfunctional political structures and mistrust of the government have been major subjects in the Captain America movies. What kind of fascist plot Sam Wilson will encounter is still unknown. Following the death of William Hurt, who played General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in four movies, Harrison Ford is assuming the role.

Wilson and Ross have a past together since, as you may recall, Wilson broke the terms of the Sokovia Accords, which led to Ross throwing him in jail at the end of the Civil War. According to executive producer Nate Moore, Sam Wilson and Thunderbolt Ross will have conflict in the movie.

Upon discussing the movie with Moore, he stated:

“Well, look, Sam Wilson’s Captain America, he is going to bring his own team to play… There will be some natural sparks there, which I think will be really fun.”

Mackie provided additional details about what to anticipate from the Wilson and Ross moments in a different interview:

“Ross and Cap have always had that relationship, where they were friends and they respected each other, but they always bumped heads. That’s their relationship in the storyline.”

Who Stars in Captain America: Brave New World?

Anthony Mackie will portray Captain America, the newly famous man with a goal. Danny Ramirez and Carl Lumbly will be back as Joaquin Torres and Isaiah Bradley, respectively, reprising their roles from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series.

Two cast members from the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk, Tim Blake Nelson as the legendary Hulk antagonist Samuel “Leader” Sterns and Liv Tyler as Thunderbolt Ross’s daughter Betty, will return to their respective parts.

The announcement stated that Harrison Ford will replace Ross in 2022. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ford discussed his motivation for accepting the part.

“I watch all these terrific actors having a good time in Marvel movies. I like doing something different to what I’ve done and pleasing people. So I’ll try a piece of that.”

Anthony Mackie shared a touching photo of the two on Instagram and complimented Ford. We can also see Sam Wilson’s new suit in this picture:

Shira Haas, who won critical acclaim for her performance in Netflix’s Unorthodox, will complete the ensemble by playing Sabra, a mutant who happens to be Marvel’s first Israeli superheroine comic book character. Additionally, Xosha Roquemore will play an unidentified part.

Finally, but just as importantly, Julia Louis-Dreyfous will be playing Contessa Valentina Allegra De Fontaine once more, causing mischief for our heroes. Due to The Winter Soldier’s inclusion in the Thunderbolts movie, which stars a squad under the leadership of Val (Louis-Dreyfous), Sebastian Stan will not be reprising his role as Bucky Barnes in the movie.

WWE star Seth Rollins has also signed on to the movie in an unspecified capacity, though many believe he’ll be portraying a villain.
