Games People Play was picked up for a second season by BET in 2019. Due to the circumstances of the project, however, there has been radio silence, and fans are wondering when Season 2 will start. Since it was turned back on, some reports have said that it won’t be delivered until 2021. Season 2 might not come out until 2022 because the end of the year is coming up and there is no replacement in sight.
According to some sources, the show was supposed to expire on September 1, 2021, but no release date has been announced since then. Karrueche Tran will join the Season 2 cast alongside Lauren London in a limited position, according to the most latest replacement, which was announced in September 2020. It is planned that Season 2 will have 10 episodes each lasting roughly forty-one minutes, as Season 1 did.

Lauren London plays Vanessa King, a desperate basketball wife seeking to safeguard her family.
Karen Obilom, Vanessa’s dearest friend and confidante, plays Nia Bullock, a fierce reporter striving to salvage her damaged career. Laila James is played by Parker McKenna Posey, a scandalous groupie who wishes to be famous.
Sarunas Jackson portrays Marcus King, a former New York Gladiators basketball player who was traded to the Los Angeles Vipers. His wife’s name is Vanessa.
Kendall Kyndall plays Nia’s assistant and best friend, Marquis “MJ” Jackson, who used to play basketball for the Gladiators and was a star in the NCAA. Jackie Long played Kareem Johnson, Marcus’s best friend and assistant who used to play basketball for the Gladiators and was a star in the NCAA (season 2; recurring season 1)
Karrueche Tran plays Eden Lazlo, who is the daughter of the owner of the Los Angeles Vipers and the new VP of basketball operations. She makes Marcus’ love life even more complicated (season 2)

Games People Play Season 3 Plot
It happens when people play games “inside the high-stakes world of professional sports, where everyone is aiming for victory.” The series follows Nia, Vanessa, and Laila, as well as the men in their life, and contains an ensemble cast of intriguing characters including an ambitious reporter, a wealthy basketball player, a desperate housewife, a scandalous groupie, and a homicidal stalker. No matter what obstacles they confront, they will do whatever it takes to stay at the top of their game no matter how self-serving their ambitions may seem.
On April 17, 2018, BET announced that the project had acquired a series order for a ten-episode first season. Executive producers Tracey Edmonds, Angela Burt-Murray, and Vanessa Middleton were announced, with Middleton also taking on the role of showrunner for the first time as well. One of the series’ production firms was Edmonds Entertainment.
Middleton will write the series’ pilot episode and function as a co-showrunner alongside Kim Newton, who will also executive produce, it was revealed on December 6, 2018. On January 31, 2019, the series was rebranded as Games People Play, according to a press statement. The premiere date for the series was already set for April 1, 2019.
