Is Charlie Puth Gay? Was He in a Relationship with BTS’ Jungkook?
The American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth recently worked with the member of the band BTS known as Jungkook to create a new song called “Left and Right.” The song was an instant success, which is not surprising when one considers the flexibility of both of these vocalists as well as the way in which their vocals perfectly complement one another.
In 2018, at the MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards, the two artists gave a performance together for the first time. They sang Charlie’s worldwide number-one song, “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” which was a highlight of the wonderful performance. Later on, Charlie joined the rest of the band members in performing the song “Fake Love,” which was written by the band.
It just so happens that BTS’s, Jungkook, plays the role of the ex-partner in the music video for “Left and Right,” while Charlie’s character in the video is the one who goes to see a therapist because he can’t get his mind off of the woman he used to be with. Charlie made the choice to put a stop to the subject once and for all as the rows of tweets and conversations continued to circulate.
On his Instagram story, he shared a copy of one of the comments that were made under the music video. The remark stated that “because no one else is pictured outside the two, the assumption that the two guys are occupying each other’s attention, which I believe is wonderful!” I have no problem with this being the norm. There, the artist stated that it was a music video featuring homosexual couples in love.
It was obvious that the music video had a plot, as Charlie Puth was shown attempting to get someone “out of his thoughts” and even consulting with a “Love Doctor.” On the other hand, Jungkook was the only other individual shown in the video. As a result, viewers were left wondering whether or not the love song and its accompanying music video were supposed to be interpreted as representing a romance between two males.
