This is despite the fact that there is no established figure for McVay’s annual compensation. During the offseason of the 2022 season, McVay signed the contract; at the time, he still had one year remaining on his prior agreement.

In 2019, McVay signed a five-year agreement with the Los Angeles Rams, which would keep him under contract with the team until 2023. After making it all the way to the Super Bowl, where they were ultimately defeated by the Patriots 13-3, the Rams came to an agreement shortly afterward.
McVay’s rumored salary of $14 million per season would place him among the highest-paid coaches in the NFL, placing him in second place after Bill Belichick, whose salary is rumored to be $20 million per season. Since both McVay’s and general manager Les Snead’s contracts were recently extended, the two will remain partners in Los Angeles at the very least through the 2026 season. However, it is possible that the marriage will dissolve after the 2022 campaign.
