Plot
Mori Jin, a martial artist from Seoul, South Korea, at the tender age of 17, is the protagonist of this tale. His first task in the story is to compete in the God of High School Martial Arts Tournament (or GOH).
Tournaments held at the national and regional levels determine which South Korean high school teams will compete in the World Tournament, which is sponsored by a questionable business. To show their appreciation, the hosting firm grants the winner’s wish.
For the duration of the competition, Mori faces off against a wide variety of competitors, each with its distinct approach to the sport. The supernatural (gods, demons, mythical creatures, etc.) are the source of Borrowed Power, magical energy distinct from martial arts.
Also competing in the first round are two additional martial arts superstars: Full-Contact Karate’s Dewi Han and epee’s Mira Yoo. After the preliminary rounds, when these two have fought and gotten to know Mori, the Korean Team will be formed.
As the early rounds of the competition come to a close, members of the organization and its rivals are taking strategic steps to advance.
