The voting mechanism will commence after the panelists have asked the host for any further hints they might need. The audience and panelists will each have one vote for their favorite celebrity, and the least popular contestants will be ousted from the competition.

Fox has offered Cannon numerous opportunities to host or create other television shows since he signed a deal with them in 2018, but he has declined all of them. Cannon joined The Masked Singer because he was captivated by the premise and thought it was “either going to be a major failure or a huge hit” when he first heard about it.
He was Pick Ibarra’s first choice for the part because of his charisma and previous work experience. One of the show’s goals was to convince celebrities they would not be criticized for appearing, therefore, she stated of the panelists, “we were less concerned with selecting those with the ability to critique participants’ singing abilities than generating a comic tone for the series.”
The first member of the panel to be hired was Jeong because of his sense of humor and familiarity with the South Korean version; McCarthy Wahlberg and Thicke were next because of their excitement about the idea; and finally, Scherzinger was chosen because of her upbeat attitude and extensive background in singing.
Plestis claims that he “only wanted [to cast] people who loved the program, not people who wanted to work on [it]. After the demise of his sitcom, Dr. Ken, Jeong was looking for a permanent role and took the role on The Masked Singer as a stopgap measure.
Afterward, Thicke wondered if he would have accepted the part “if [he] had still been No. 1 on the radio”, while Scherzinger said she had only agreed to be on the show the day before production began. Sharon Osbourne claimed in March 2019 that she had been contractually committed to appear as a judge on The X Factor and that she had been signed on as a panelist but that the preparations fell through.
