A Drop of Blood From a 30-year-old Vermont Murder Led to an Arrest
According to the Danby, Vermont, police, all it took was a single drop of blood to lead them to the suspect responsible for the unsolved killings of Catherine and George Peacock in 1989.
According to the Vermont State Police website, George, who was 76 years old, and Catherine, who was 73 years old, were both slain at their home in September of 1989. Both members of the marriage had been stabbed to death, and there were no signs of a break-in or attempted break-in.

Michael Anthony Louise, age 79, was taken into custody at his residence in Syracuse, New York, and charged with two charges of second-degree murder. He is currently held in jail in New York until his extradition to Vermont. Read more: Candice King Divorce: Having Been Married for Seven Years, Candice Accola Files for Divorce

According to the announcement, the blood has been examined in the past, but the results could not provide a definitive answer. According to the authorities, advancements in forensic science over the previous few decades made it possible for investigators to match the blood to George.
