We love Santa Claus, but his unique cinematic avatars are usually more enticing. That’s why David Harbour’s Santa will wow. Violent Night, starring a ferocious Father Christmas who kills evil people, will be released this holiday season. It’s Yuletide, therefore it’s twisted and violent.

In Tommy Wirkola’s Violent Night, Santa Claus saves Christmas from mercenaries who attack a wealthy family’s estate. Santa has been naughty in Tim Allen’s The Santa Clause, Bad Santa, and Kurt Russell’s The Christmas Chronicles, but that’s the fun of these movies.

Violent Night elevates the part of St. Nick. This December dark comedy should be on your holiday movie list. Violent Night Trailer

The Violent Night teaser was finally published after much anticipation. You don’t want to be on Santa’s naughty list since he doesn’t simply deliver bad people coal. He does something more dangerous and deserving.

The short pretty well discloses the plot, but Harbour’s action and charm will make the movie fun. As you can see, Santa fights and sets everything on fire when he sees an innocent family under attack. Santa believes in quick karma. Violent Night premieres at New York Comic Con on October 7 and opens nationally on December 2, 2022.

Who Plays Violent Night?

David Harbour as Father Noel leads Violent Night’s cast. He stars alongside John Leguizamo, Beverly D’Angelo, Alex Hassell, Alexis Louder, Cam Gigandet, Edi Patterson, and André Eriksen. Harbour’s Santa is genuine in the dramatic Christmas story.

Superhero-like fighting! Quantum of Solace, The Green Hornet, Suicide Squad, and Hellboy, among others, have included the Stranger Things star. Gran Turismo, Thunderbolts, and My Dentist’s Murder Trial—which he executive produces—will feature him.

Leguizamo plays Ben, the mercenaries’ leader; D’Angelo plays Gertrude, the family matriarch; Alex Hassell plays Skyler, one of Gertrude’s children who is spending Christmas with his wife and daughter at the family estate; and Alexis Louder plays Margie Matthews, Skyler’s estranged wife who is spending Christmas at the house so their daughter can have a good Christmas.

Kill Buljo, the Kill Bill parody, Dead Snow, Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead, What Happened to Monday, and The Trip are among Wirkola’s most notable works. In 2023, he will write and direct Spermageddon.

The comic thriller is written by Sonic the Hedgehog creators Pat Casey and Josh Miller. 87North Productions, which made Nobody and Bullet Train, produced Violent Night with David Leitch, Kelly McCormick, and Guy Danella. This film appears to have a similar high-octane action plot.

Violent Night’s Story?

Violent Night is a dark, powerful Santa Claus story. Despite the title, this is a Christmas story. Santa is delivering gifts to his pleasant list on Christmas Eve. However, a group of goons interrupted his job and ruined his carefully planned night. He is ambushed by armed villains when he arrives at the home of a small girl on that list.

He wants to exit quietly and continue his night, but the attackers won’t allow him. Santa shows you a side of himself you never knew existed. The mercenaries are holding the house and family for a large ransom. However, Father Christmas uses his magical powers to destroy them one by one. Santa will make Christmas cheerful again, even if the brightest day of the year turns sour. Not for the baddies.
