Man Accused Of Sexual Assault Back In Jail (Updated)
Man Accused Of Sexual Assault Back In Jail: A man from Odessa who was previously imprisoned for reportedly raping a woman at knifepoint in January of 2021 is now back in prison.
Last year, In February, 33-year-old Manuel Olivas was indicted on a single count of Aggravated Sexual Assault.
Court records show that in June, Olivas failed to appear at the Ector County pretrial services office to pick up his GPS monitor, prompting a warrant to be issued for his arrest and a hearing before Judge Justin Low.
Olivas was arrested on September 1 and was still being held at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center on a $60,000 bail as of Monday afternoon.
