Memphis Man Charged in Neighbor’s Killing in Macomb Co.
The man who is accused of killing his neighbor in Memphis has been charged with the murder of the second degree.
The suspect, who is 32 years old and whose identity has not been made public, is now being detained at the Macomb County Jail, and if convicted, he might spend the rest of his life behind bars. According to the authorities, he asserts that he was acting in self-defense when he killed his neighbor.
At around 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, the suspect reportedly dialed 911 to report that his next-door neighbor had passed away at an apartment complex located on Henderson Street in Memphis. When the police came, they discovered the victim, a man aged 65, already died inside of an apartment. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office was tasked with investigating after the Memphis Police Department urged them to do so.
