Myles Brennan Broke Left Arm While Preparing for a Fishing Trip, Lsu Quarterback’s Father Says!

Myles Brennan, the quarterback for LSU, broke his left arm on Sunday night while getting ready for a fishing trip in Grand Isle, his father Owen stated in an interview with WWL-FM, 105.3 on Wednesday afternoon.

Brennan’s dad reported that as his son was holding his fishing gear, one of his flip-flops became entangled in a piece of loose board. As his hands were full, Brennan stumbled and fell, injuring his left arm.

The fifth-year senior initially assumed he’d just bruised his arm, but when he woke up the next day, he saw that it was much worse. According to his father, Brennan had a complex fracture of the middle of his humerus while driving himself to Baton Rouge, where he sought medical attention.

Owen Brennan speculated that the event may have happened no matter where or when the victim was. “It was a complete and utter fluke of fate. He was not engaging in any improper behavior. Unfortunately, there are instances when that’s even more difficult to accept.”

Brennan’s arm injury at LSU was mysterious. As a result of the injuries, Brennan underwent surgery on Tuesday morning. To start the season opener on September 4 against UCLA, Brennan would have competed with sophomore Max Johnson all through preseason camp. After Brennan’s injury, Coach Ed Orgeron made Johnson the starting quarterback.

When asked for comment, Brennan’s dad never got back to us. He announced on the air that his son underwent surgery in which a metal plate and screws were implanted in his arm. His father added that Brennan would begin physical treatment on Friday, the same day that LSU would begin preseason practice.

Brennan’s father has stated that his son, who is a right-handed quarterback, will resume throwing in two weeks. After that, he will take his recovery process day by day. Brennan’s expected return date from LSU has not been made public.

Myles Brennan Injury

Clearly, Owen Brennan remarked, you play football in the Southeastern Conference. He must be prepared to absorb significant physical contact and collision. But you just have to take things as they come. Every day, he’ll be out there making progress toward that goal, I can promise you that.

Brennan’s career was dealt another blow by the injury. Brennan started the 2020 season as LSU’s quarterback after waiting three years to do so, but he was sidelined for the year after suffering an abdominal injury in LSU’s third game against Missouri. He played through the pain, allowed the wound to close on its own, and then went back to offseason training.

Brennan’s time away from the field will give Johnson an advantage in the position, but Brennan’s father stated his son has no plans to transfer from LSU despite having to through yet another rehabilitation period.

Since the coronavirus epidemic has just begun, Brennan has one more year of eligibility and may gain another through a medical redshirt.

Owen Brennan remarked, “He’s not going anywhere.” “In his last season, he hopes to take over as the starting quarterback for LSU. He intends to achieve this using any means necessary.”
