The Family of a Man Killed in a Triple Murder-suicide Claim They Will Never Know Why He Was Murdered
On Friday evening, friends and family members of the first victim of a triple murder-suicide that occurred this week paid tribute to him by releasing balloons into the sky. According to the authorities, Andres Jamal Felix began his shooting rampage on Tuesday by taking the life of 29-year-old Ross Chaisson. The rampage ultimately claimed the lives of four individuals, including the shooter himself.
In a shooting spree in Lafayette Parish, a lone gunman murders four people, including himself, before turning the gun on himself. In order to honor Chaisson and celebrate his life, his family gathered at the house where he had been shot and died.
I’m going to miss him, but I made a commitment to him. I gave him my word that I would always be strong, and I want to keep it. No matter what happens, I will never stop loving him. “He would want us to remain strong,” Chaisson’s aunt Cynthia Linda Castille said. “He would want us to go on in his legacy.”
Dozens of people showed out to the vigil in honor of Chaisson, during which they let go of black and red balloons, which were his favorite colors.“It’s tough, but we’re going to do our best to succeed. Latasha Chaisson Felix, Chaisson’s oldest sister, expressed confidence that the family will prevail.
The murder of Chaisson has been difficult for their entire family, according to Chaisson’s sister and aunt, who told News 10 that the most difficult aspect is not knowing why it happened. They expressed their regret at not having the opportunity to inquire as to the reasoning behind Andres Jamal Felix’s decision to murder Chaisson.
However, they continued by saying that they had forgiven him. They no longer want to dwell on the circumstances surrounding Chaisson’s passing and instead want to remember him for who he was. I just want people to remember him as Ross because Ross was the kind of guy who would give you the clothes off his back, his sister said in an interview with News 10.
Family members of Ross Chaisson said that he was the kind of person who always had a smile on his face and liked getting to know new people. It was stated that he enjoyed dining, fishing, and spending time with his family, particularly with his two daughters, who were only 10 and 13 years old at the time.
“As a mother and a grandma, you should always remind your children and grandchildren that you love them no matter what, regardless of what they have done or regardless of what you have done. Always remember to show your love for others and put God first in whatever you do. There is no way to tell when your final day will be. Chaisson’s aunt continued by saying, “You simply never know.”
