Your Honor Season 2: Release Date, Cast & Plot!
‘Your Honor,’ a dark and intriguing courtroom drama television series on Showtime’s lineup, was created by acclaimed English playwright-screenwriter Peter Moffat of ‘Undercover’ fame. The narrative of the show, based on the Israeli television series ‘Kvodo,’ centers around a New Orleans judge named Michael and his son, Adam, as they become entangled in a web of deceit and sorrow.
After Adam mistakenly kills a teenager in a hit-and-run accident, Adam’s father requests that he appear in court. The judge changes his mind after learning that the victim is the son of a mafia kingpin. He tries to tamper with the evidence, but the consequences are disastrous for him and his son.
Following the show’s premiere in 2020, it spawned a single season, which received mixed reviews from fans and critics. It has won praise for its performances and atmosphere, and it has a devoted fanbase. If you’re wondering if the show will return for a second season, we’ve got you covered!
Release Date For Your Honor Season 2
‘Your Honor’ season 1 premiered on Showtime on December 6, 2020, with the season finale airing on February 14, 2021. The first season contains ten episodes with runtimes ranging from 52 to 63 minutes each. Here is everything we know about the upcoming season.
Although the show was originally intended to be a miniseries, the positive response prompted the creators and network to drop the limited series label and make the show a regular series. Showtime renewed the show for a second season on August 24, 2021, nearly six months after the debut of the first season’s finale.
“‘Your Honor’ completely blew us away… by the strength of Peter’s writing, the depth of Bryan’s performance, and the enormous response from our subscribers who watched in record numbers,” said Gary Levine, Showtime’s Co-President of Entertainment, following the show’s renewal. “Imagine our surprise when we found that Peter thought he had more stories to tell and Bryan thought he had more depths to explore.” So, like its millions of supporters, I joyfully exclaim, ‘Encore!'”

Season 2’s writing and pre-production are well along, but there has been no word on when filming will begin. However, we expect that the crew will return to the set in early 2022. Following the filming schedule of the first season, the production team will complete the shot in 5-6 months. As a result, assuming no unexpected delays, we may expect season 2 to premiere in Q3 2022.
Who Is In The Cast Of Your Honor Season 2?
We have no information on cast changes, but we hope that all of the original cast members will return for the second season. Bryan Cranston will most likely repeat his role as Michael Desiato, opposite Hunter Doohan, who will most likely reprise his part as Adam Desiato (if the character survives the deadly trauma of the first season’s finale). We can also expect to see Michael Stuhlbarg (Jimmy Baxter), Hope Davis (Gina Baxter), Sofia Black-D’Elia (Frannie Latimer), Isiah Whitlock Jr. (Charlie Figaro), and Carmen Ejogo in significant roles (Lee Delamere).
Andrene Ward-Hammond (Big Mo), Margo Martindale (Elizabeth Guthrie), Benjamin Flores Jr. (Eugene Jones), Maura Tierney (Fiona McKee), Amy Landecker (Nancy Costello), Jimi Stanton (Carlo Baxter), and Chet Hanks will also appear in recurring roles (Joey Maldini). However, due to his tragic fate in the first season, Lamar Johnson will not reprise his role as Kofi Jones.
What Is The Plot Of Your Honor Season 2?
The tense season finale alters several equations and poses many questions to the spectator. It begs more questions than it answers. Elizabeth begins the episode by telling Adam about his mother’s extramarital affair. In another twist, Lee confides in Big Mo about her conviction that Kofi is innocent. Carlo takes the stand during the trial and convinces the jurors that he killed Rocco in self-defense.
Fiona, on the other hand, is skeptical of Carlo’s testimony. Adam and Michael’s carefully planned lies crumble as Nancy and Charlie separately sniff out the fabrications. Lee has a revelation about Adam assaulting Rocco and confronts Michael. The latter refuses to allow Eugene to testify, while Eugene tries to eliminate Carlo during the party. In an unexpected change of events, Eugene accidentally shoots Adam instead.
The second season will presumably pick up following the first season’s criminal cliffhanger finale. At the end of the first season, the most obvious uncertainty is whether Adam is dead or alive. Karma finally catches up with Adam in the closing moments, when he is inadvertently shot by Kofi’s brother Eugene. Vengeance spawns more vengeance, and lies breed more lies. In the second season, the cautionary narrative of falsehoods and innocence will become increasingly prominent.
Hopefully, Adam will survive the ordeal, but that will not be the end of it. He will be paid for his horrible deed sooner or later. By the end of the first season, Nancy, Charlie, and Lee have all discovered some of the truth, and Michael will have to bear the brunt of the burden of saving his wayward son. Michael and Adam will have to deal with more challenges on their own, and the father-son connection may suffer as season 2 progresses. Rest confident, as the tensions continue to rise, the season will take a darker turn.
