Coronation Concert: Star-Studded Line Up

It has been revealed that the “world-class” lineup for the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle includes musical groups including Take That, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie. Three of the original members of Take That—Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen—will perform. However, there will be a one-time reunion opportunity for Robbie Williams and Jason Orange.

Additionally appearing at the BBC-hosted event are opera singer, Andrea Bocelli, Welsh bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel, singer-songwriter Freya Ridings, and composer Alexis Ffrench of classical-soul music. There should be more acts for the Coronation Concert announced soon.

Barlow, Donald, and Owen released a statement stating that they “couldn’t wait” for the event, which is set for Sunday, May 7, the day following the ceremonial coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey. “This will be our first live performance since the Odyssey Tour in 2019, which was four years ago. What a stage to return to.

“A huge live band and orchestra, choir, military drummers, Windsor Castle as the backdrop, and the celebration of a new King.” The British Asian Trust is a charity established by the King when he was the Prince of Wales that strives to address the pervasive poverty and hardship in South Asia.
