Man In Jail On Murder Charges: A lady and her 13-year-old son’s remains were found inside a home near Willard on Saturday morning.
According to a press statement issued by the Willard Police Department, officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance in the 1000 block of S. Myrtle Ave. at around 9 a.m.
Officers “were informed by family members of two murdered victims inside the residence” when they arrived, the document states.
According to Willard police chief Shannon Chaffins, the bodies of Brandi Chong Thornton, 31, and Juelz Bryant, 13, were discovered inside the residence.
The police moved promptly to question the suspect.
In the second block of West Main Street in Greenwich, police arrested 25-year-old Zachary T. Boster on charges of parole violation, two counts of murder, and one count of aggravated murder.
Willard police refused to say whether or not they believed Boster’s arrest was related to the bodies they found. It has been confirmed that the agency is treating the deaths of Thornton and Bryant as murder inquiries.
The Register reported that Thornton was pregnant, based on information provided by Huron County Sheriff Todd Corbin. Chaffins said that he was unsure as to whether or not she was pregnant.
Boster may or may not have already been tried on the allegations against him. On Monday night, a search of the Norwalk Municipal Court’s records turned up nothing related to the case. The official records of the Huron County Jail show that on September 13 he will have a bond hearing.
According to a news release from the Willard Police Department, they are being helped by the Huron County Sheriff’s Office, the Bellevue Police Department, the Huron County Prosecutor’s Office, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the Huron County Coroner’s Office.
