One Person Was Killed in a Catastrophic 50-car Pileup on the Ohio Turnpike
An enormous accident involving fifty vehicles occurred in Ohio, and according to the authorities, it resulted in the death of one person and multiple injuries to others. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the collision took place on Friday morning in the Sandusky County area of the Ohio Turnpike in one of the eastbound lanes.
According to the officials, buses were deployed to collect victims at the scene of the accident and transport them to a facility nearby so that they could be kept warm despite the frigid conditions. After a snowplow driver hit several vehicles with snow, the Ohio Turnpike handed out thousands of tickets. However, according to the authorities, the first incident occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m., and it involved five vehicles and resulted in two individuals being hurt.
The Ohio Turnpike is closed in both ways, and drivers heading eastbound are being rerouted off the highway at exit 91 into State Route 53. Exit 118 on State Route 250 is being used as a detour for traffic heading in the opposite direction. On Friday, the area experienced temperatures that had dropped to a low of approximately -18 degrees celsius. This came as several parts of the United States were slammed by extremely cold winter weather.
