5 Kids, Including Child Driver, Killed in New York SUV Crash

A terrible nocturnal vehicle accident in Scarsdale early on Sunday resulted in five children, including the driver, 16, losing their lives and another being hurt. Police in Scarsdale, New York, informed Fox News that the children were driving a Nissan Rogue when it hit a tree and caught fire while they were on the Hutchinson River Parkway. The children were all linked to one another.

All of the children, according to the Westchester County Police Department, ranged in age from 8 to 17 years old. According to police, the victims of the car crash were four boys and a girl, all from Connecticut. The 16-year-old lost control of the Nissan Rogue on the Hutchinson River Parkway while driving a group of siblings and cousins home from the mall, according to a report in the New York Post.

According to authorities and the family of ABC, the SUV caught fire after the automobile struck a tree. According to the source, the juvenile motorist may have dozed off behind the wheel. The collision didn’t involve any other automobiles. A 9-year-old child, the only survivor, was transferred to Westchester Medical Center with what the police described as non-life-threatening wounds.

The 9-year-old, who according to police was sitting in a hatchback/cargo section at the time of the collision and managed to escape via the back of the car. According to a police announcement, Westchester County authorities are looking into the crash’s circumstances. On Sunday, police were seeking to contact the families of the children who died.

Nicole Cross, who claimed to be the mother of at least some of the child victims, stated in a heartbreaking Facebook post on Sunday, “Oh Jesus, I don’t understand why you had to take our babies from us.

Dear God, please grant us the courage, Cross prayed. “Why is this happening? These kids didn’t deserve this,” someone asked. Please remember to pray for my family. God, do assist us. I don’t know what to do or how to handle this.

Anthony Billips, who claimed to be the father of at least some of the children, posted what he called “the most difficult message I ever had to write in my life” in a second Facebook post. Six children were in the car, but only one of them made it out alive.
